Basketball Recap: Brookland-Cayce Takes a Loss

Brookland-Cayce came up into this matchup off a tough 52-point loss on Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Liberty Red Devils by a score of 30-28 on Saturday. The Bearcats just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Liberty's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madison Henderson, who posted six points and 18 rebounds. Those 18 boards gave Henderson a new career-high. Natalie White was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Brookland-Cayce's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Liberty, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-13 record this season.

Brookland-Cayce is taking a road trip to take on South Aiken at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. South Aiken has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Liberty has already played their next contest (against Crescent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
