Softball Game Preview: Claiborne Bulldogs vs. Union County Patriots

Claiborne is 0-10 against Union County since March of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Bulldogs will host the Patriots at 5:30 p.m. The last three games Claiborne has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Claiborne fell victim to Jefferson County and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 2-0.

Claiborne saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brinkley Hollin, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Union County also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Gibbs on Thursday, falling 10-0. The loss continues a trend for the Patriots in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost eight in a row.

Claiborne's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Union County, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
