Softball Recap: Allentown Central Catholic Takes a Loss

Allentown Central Catholic lost against Pocono Mountain East back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Vikings fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 10-9.

Luci Comfort and Eliza Tackas stepped up to the plate in a big way. Comfort got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base, while Tackas went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Giada Montone, who earned one RBI, one run, and two stolen bases.

Allentown Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Pocono Mountain East, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Allentown Central Catholic is set to square off against their familiar foe Whitehall at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Pocono Mountain East will face off against rival Pocono Mountain West at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
