Recap: Desert Oasis Diamondbacks vs. Sports Leadership & Management Bulls
On Saturday, the Desert Oasis Diamondbacks faced the Sports Leadership & Management Bulls in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Desert Oasis took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 59-23 victory over Sports Leadership & Management. The victory was just what Desert Oasis needed coming off of a 65-21 loss in their prior match.
Desert Oasis found their leader in underclassman Mia Baskerville, who scored 18 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Baskerville has scored at least 25% of Desert Oasis' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Atkins-Dowd, who scored 10 points.
Desert Oasis now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Sports Leadership & Management, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Desert Oasis is on the road again on Saturday and play against Durango at 3:30 p.m. on November 25th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Durango is ranked 13th, while Desert Oasis is ranked ninth). As for Sports Leadership & Management, they will head out on the road to face off against Somerset Academy Losee at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
