Soccer Recap: Waltrip Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Waltrip can now relate to. They came up short against the Terry Rangers on Friday, falling 6-3. While losing is never fun, Waltrip can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 518th, while Terry are ranked 54th).

With the defeat, Waltrip broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-6-1. As for Terry, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-1-2 record this season.

Waltrip does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Terry, they will take on Georgetown at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Georgetown will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Terry surely won't give up without a fight.
