Softball Recap: Bastrop Comes Up Short

Bastrop was the 11-8 winner over North Webster when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rams took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights on Friday. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aerianna Williams made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Jameria Tolbert was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.

Bastrop's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for North Webster, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bastrop will take on Delhi Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for North Webster, they will venture away from home to challenge North Caddo at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
