Volleyball Recap: Greenfield Triumphs

Greenfield lost to Greendale back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Hustlin' Hawks came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hustlin' Hawks.

Ryan Walhovd paced Greenfield's offense, picking up seven kills. Walhovd got some help from Romario Ortega and his 14 assists. Ortega was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Greenfield's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Greendale, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-20 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Greenfield and West Allis Central will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Greendale, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Shorewood on the 18th.
