Baseball Preview: Mt. Carmel Sundevils vs. Elsinore Tigers        
        
		
            The Mt. Carmel Sundevils will take on the Elsinore Tigers at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Mt. Carmel comes in on five and Elsinore on eight.
Mt. Carmel is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Friday. They walked away with  a   7-3  win over San Ysidro. Seven seems to be a good number for the Sundevils as the  squad scooped up a  victory with the same number of  runs in their previous game.
 Bryce Miller made a splash while hitting and pitching. He  tossed one inning while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  a single  walk in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  triple, one  stolen base,  and one  run. That  triple was  his first of the season.
 In other pitching news,  Shane Carter looked comfortable as he  tossed 3.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   four  hits.
 Back at the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Atticus Enriquez, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of  Nate Godbold, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
Meanwhile, Elsinore never let their opponents score on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out St. Anthony  2-0.
 Elsinore's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Brody Boyd, who  went 2-for-3 with one  triple and one  run. Another  was  Robert Gates, who  went 1-for-3 with one  triple.
 Elsinore pushed their record up to 23-7 with the  victory, which was their eighth straight  on the road. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Mt. Carmel, their victory bumped their record up to 21-12.
