Volleyball Recap: Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

After a string of ten wins, Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost 3-0 to the Veritas Collegiate Academy Spartans. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Patriots have suffered since October 22, 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-14, 25-21.

Nadia Jastrzemski paced Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association's offense, picking up six kills. Jastrzemski got some help from Ryann Owensby and her nine assists. Jastrzemski and Owensby were also some pesky defenders, as each blocked three attacks.

Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association's loss dropped their record down to 30-4. As for Veritas Collegiate Academy, their record now sits at 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association will challenge The Covenant School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight. As for Veritas Collegiate Academy, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Oaktree Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
