Basketball Recap: Seton Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Seton had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They took down the Chelsea Academy Knights 66-51. That's more bragging rights for the Conquistadors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cici Wingate, who went 7-for-16 en route to 16 points. Wingate's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Margaret Shealy, who went 5-for-6 on her way to 11 points.

Seton pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Chelsea Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Seton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 62-28 victory against Fredericksburg Christian on the 18th. Chelsea Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
