Basketball Recap: Gabriella Alvarado's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Laton over Kings Christian

Laton suffered their closest loss since November 22, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Kings Christian Crusaders by a score of 20-18. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Laton lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Gabriella Alvarado, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 boards. That was a full 61.1% of Laton's points, marking the eighth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Samantha Peralez, who had three points and eight steals.
