Baseball Recap: Clinton County Triumphs

Clinton County won the last time they faced Metcalfe County and things went their way on Monday too. The Bulldogs walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Hornets. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Tucker Casada made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Casada was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Clinton County: the team is 10-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-10 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Carter Gibson, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Clinton County's record is now 15-11. As for Metcalfe County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-12.

Clinton County will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hornets: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
