Soccer Recap: Ash Fork Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Ash Fork was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chino Valley Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Chino Valley this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 back in September.

Ash Fork's loss dropped their record down to 3-9-1. As for Chino Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-6.

Ash Fork and Chino Valley could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings. Ash Fork will challenge Northland Prep Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (49 vs. 4). Meanwhile, Chino Valley (ranked 42nd) will meet Highland Prep West (ranked second) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
