Volleyball Game Preview: Fort Wayne Wayne Generals vs. Norwell Knights

The Fort Wayne Wayne Generals will head out on the road to take on the Norwell Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Fort Wayne Wayne narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Generals.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (104-103) Fort Wayne Wayne actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 27-25, 23-25, 12-25, 25-15, 16-14.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fort Wayne Wayne to victory, but perhaps none more so than Saige Clark, who had six aces and four digs. Those six aces gave Clark a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Norwell had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian on Monday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 19-25, 25-17, 25-13.

Fort Wayne Wayne's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-6. As for Norwell, their record now sits at 5-7.
