It's playoff time, and Liberty had no trouble coming through when it counted. They won by a run and slipped past the Snohomish Panthers 3-2. The victory was nothing new for the Patriots as they're now sitting on 11 straight.
Avery Huh spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Kaila Siu was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
Liberty's record is now 20-9. As for Snohomish, they moved to 16-6 with that loss, which also ended their nine-game winning streak.
As of now, neither Liberty nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
