Baseball Game Preview: Middletown Islanders vs. Rogers Vikings

For the second straight game, Middletown will face off against Rogers. The Islanders will face off against the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Middletown is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Middletown came into this matchup off a tough ten-run defeat on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Rogers by a score of 5-3 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Islanders have suffered since April 9th.

For Rogers' part, Jack Rosa spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits.
