Volleyball Recap: Dixie Has No Trouble Against Deseret Peak

With a playoff win on the line, Dixie rose to the challenge on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Deseret Peak Golden Eagles as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-13, 25-18.

Jaselle Mills was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 17 digs and four assists. She has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Dixie was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 13 consecutive contests.

Dixie's record now sits at 18-11. As for Deseret Peak, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-21 record this season.

Dixie didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Ridgeline on the 27th. Deseret Peak does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
