Northern Cass Gets a Boost from Hoppe in 48-14 Loss
Starting off the list is Northern Cass's Matthew Hoppe, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Hoppe rushed for 156 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 86 yards.
Unfortunately for Hillsboro/Central Valley, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Hoppe. Hoppe rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.6 yards per carry the last time he and the H-CV Burros duked it out back in September of 2023.

While Christopher Titus delivered a dominant performance on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Oakes. Titus was dynamite, rushing for four yards.
Oakes dropped their record down to 3-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Titus and Oakes will face off against Langdon/Edmore/Munich on Saturday.

While Thompson might've come up empty on Friday, Karter Peterson wasn't going down without a fight. Nobody could stop Peterson as he picked up 32 receiving yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack, forcing a fumble, and making a tackle.
On the year, Peterson has caught those 1 touchdown while averaging 27.1 receiving yards per game.

Brody Geston Makes It Two for Northern Cass
The second Northern Cass player making an appearance here is Brody Geston, and for good reason. He picked up 56 receiving yards and a touchdown. He showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 56 yards.
On the year, Geston has averaged 5.3 total tackles per game.
