Softball Recap: Credo Takes a Loss

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Credo was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They lost 16-2 to the Tomales Braves. The Gryphon were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Braves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Credo saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Delaney Lannert, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Lannert is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played.

Credo is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Tomales, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Credo has already played their next contest, a 35-19 victory against Technology on the 22nd. As for Tomales, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 8-3 win against Point Arena on the 18th.
