Cardinal Gibbons faced SouthWest Edgecombe in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Crusaders never let the Cougars get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Crusaders sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

The team relied heavily on Cam Tarkenton, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jakub Mudd, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.
