J.H. Rose had won four straight on the road, but on Tuesday they bumped their record up to 18-3 to make it five. They came out on top against the Jacksonville Cardinals by a score of 5-1. The victory continues a trend for the Rampants in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won eight in a row.

Parker Simo looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Matthew Aldridge was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Ethan Simmons was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one double.

As for Jacksonville, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-10 record. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On Jacksonville's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaron Buie, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. J.H. Rose will challenge Northside - Jacksonville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rampants are facing the Monarchs at the right time seeing as the Monarchs are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Jacksonville, they will face off against South Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
