Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends Arroyo Grande's Winning Streak

If Arroyo Grande was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Templeton two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles came up short against the Santa Ynez Pirates on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on April 3rd.

Arroyo Grande took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-21, 25-23.

With the defeat, Arroyo Grande broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 23-16. As for Santa Ynez, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-3.
