Baseball Recap: Staunton Comes Up Short

Staunton lost against Charlottesville back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Storm took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Black Knights. The Storm have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Henry Knox was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Dale Leslie, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Staunton's record is now 1-4. As for Charlottesville, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Staunton will square off against Waynesboro at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Storm are facing the Little Giants at the right time seeing as the Little Giants are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Charlottesville, they will face off against Monticello at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
