Baseball Recap: Barnum Takes a Loss

Moose Lake/Willow River hit Barnum with a four-run fourth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bombers fell 9-5 to the Rebels. The Bombers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rebels apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Eoghan Heaslip was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Barnum's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Moose Lake/Willow River, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-4.

Coming up, Barnum will host Carlton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Moose Lake/Willow River, they will head out to square off against Mesabi East at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
