Basketball Recap: Hulett Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hulett can now relate to. They came up short against the Southeast Cyclones on Thursday, falling 54-34. The game marked the Devils' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

It was another big night for Ayden Desmond, who went 10-for-19 to rack up 22 points and seven boards for Southeast. Desmond's big performance that morning made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was TJ Moats, who shot 71% from the field en route to 11 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.

Hulett has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. Southeast's victory bumped their record up to 14-10.

Hulett wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-58 loss against Kaycee on the 28th. As for Southeast, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 74-64 defeat against Lingle-Fort Laramie on the 28th.
