Volleyball Recap: Indiana School for the Deaf Comes Up Short

Indiana School for the Deaf was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Florida School for the Deaf & Blind Dragons. The Deaf Hoosiers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Indiana School for the Deaf was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-19.

Jaiden Moise paced Indiana School for the Deaf's offense, picking up four kills. Moise got some help from Carrie Eicher and her seven assists. Vera Ann controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Indiana School for the Deaf's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Florida School for the Deaf & Blind, the win snapped their losing streak at 13 matches and leaves them with a 2-13 record.

Indiana School for the Deaf has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Model Secondary School for the Deaf on the 4th. As for Florida School for the Deaf & Blind, they will take on Warner Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
