Basketball Recap: Belpre Comes Up Short

Belpre lost to Southern back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles fell 62-52 to the Tornadoes. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Belpre's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Southern, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2.

Looking ahead, Belpre will welcome Eastern at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Southern, they will face off against Trimble at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tornadoes will be up against the Tomcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 66.36 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
