Softball Recap: Flagstaff Comes Up Short

Flagstaff was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mohave Accelerated Patriots.

Ryleigh Alex was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Lucy Lansens also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Flagstaff's loss dropped their record down to 2-4-1. As for Mohave Accelerated, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Flagstaff Eagles duke it out with Mohave Thunderbirds at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. This will be Flagstaff's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Mohave Accelerated, they will welcome Kingman Academy at 4:00 p.m. on April 2.
