Basketball Game Preview: Scotland/Menno Trappers vs. Irene/Wakonda Eagles

The Scotland/Menno Trappers just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Irene/Wakonda Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Scotland/Menno has five straight wins, Irene/Wakonda has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Scotland/Menno is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They managed a 47-41 victory over Gregory on Friday.

Meanwhile, Irene/Wakonda was just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 53-52 to Marty Indian.

Scotland/Menno's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-10. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of three points across that stretch. As for Irene/Wakonda, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.

Scotland/Menno won a game that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played last Friday, slipping by Irene/Wakonda 46-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Scotland/Menno since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
