Baseball Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

Highland extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping their season record down to 15-13 in the process. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ridgeview Wolf Pack. The shutout was out of character for the Scots seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.

As for Ridgeview, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.2 runs over those games.

For Ridgeview's part, the result came thanks to Ben Castro's shutout, as he gave up just three hits.

On the hitting side, Jacob Quintero was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

As of now, neither Highland nor Ridgeview have any future games scheduled.
