Baseball Recap: Mount Abram Victorious

It's playoff time, and Mount Abram had no trouble coming through when it counted. They won by a run and slipped past the Old Orchard Beach Seagulls 5-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-12 back in May.

Mount Abram is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Old Orchard Beach, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-6.

Looking ahead, Mount Abram will take on Monmouth Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Roadrunners will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least ten runs in their last four games. Old Orchard Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
