Soccer Game Preview: Franklin vs. Bravo

The Franklin Panthers will head out to take on the Bravo Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Franklin's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Franklin managed to keep up with Eagle Rock until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Franklin came up short against Eagle Rock, falling 3-0. The shutout was out of character for the Panthers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in December of 2024.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bravo, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top against Wilson by a score of 2-0 on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Bravo's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-4-1. As for Franklin, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5-2.

Everything went Franklin's way against Bravo in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as Franklin made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Franklin since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
