Basketball Game Preview: Graham-Kapowsin Eagles vs. Spanaway Lake Sentinels

Graham-Kapowsin hasn't had much luck against Spanaway Lake recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Graham-Kapowsin Eagles will host the Spanaway Lake Sentinels at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Graham-Kapowsin is coming into the contest on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight victories. They came out on top against Bethel by a score of 57-50 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Spanaway Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 67-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Olympia. While losing is never fun, the Sentinels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 257th, while the Bears are ranked 32nd).

Graham-Kapowsin will have to contain Demond Louis as he made an impact in Spanaway Lake's last game. He posted 22 points. Those 22 points gave Louis a new career-high. Sean Rector was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Spanaway Lake's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Graham-Kapowsin, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11.
