Football Recap: Shelton Takes a Loss + How To Watch

The Shelton Gaels were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 26-25 to the Sheehan Titans.

Despite the loss, Shelton still got an impressive performance from Cole StPierre, who rushed for 140 yards and three TDs. StPierre's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 101 rushing yards.

Jake O'Brien had an outrageously good game for Sheehan as he rushed for 37 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 128 yards and one TD. That's the most rushing touchdowns O'Brien has posted since back in October of 2024.

Shelton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Sheehan, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Shelton and Sheehan will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Gaels see the field they'll take on Amity Regional at 10:30 a.m. on the 27th. As for Sheehan, their break will end when they face Lyman Hall at 10:00 a.m. on the 27th.
