Mineral Point is 8-2 against Riverdale since October of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mineral Point has three straight wins, Riverdale has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Thursday, Mineral Point got the win against Iowa-Grant by a conclusive 3-0.

Mineral Point was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-17, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Riverdale lost 3-0 to Fennimore on Thursday.

While Riverdale was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-16, 25-9.

Mineral Point's victory bumped their record up to 30-4. As for Riverdale, their loss dropped their record down to 12-17.

Everything went Mineral Point's way against Riverdale when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Mineral Point made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pointers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
