Tyler HEAT had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Dallas HSAA Angels by a score of 45-36 on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for Tyler HEAT as they're now sitting on 25 straight dating back to last season.

Tyler HEAT was led to victory by Jet Bell and Trey Madrid. Bell posted 17 points, while Madrid scored 15 points. The dominant performance also gave Bell a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Simon Halberstadt, who put up six points.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Tyler HEAT will square off against CHAAMP HomeSchool at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Dallas HSAA, they will challenge McKinney Christian Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
