Softball Recap: Southside Panthers vs. Alexandria Valley Cubs
Southside was the 14-8 winner over Alexandria when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Southside Panthers took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Alexandria Valley Cubs on Wednesday. Southside has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jovi Marble was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-3. Ava Ramsey was another key contributor, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with a triple and an RBI.
Southside's loss dropped their record down to 29-12-1. As for Alexandria, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 34-13-1 record this season.
