Soccer Recap: South Fayette Comes Up Short

South Fayette fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Canon-McMillan on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Big Macs by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty seven goals in the game before, South Fayette couldn't push the score so high this time.

South Fayette has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Canon-McMillan, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. South Fayette will face off against Thomas Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Canon-McMillan, they will square off against Peters Township at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
