Basketball Recap: Gabe Moore Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Germantown Friends

There's no place like home for Friends' Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 74-52 margin over Germantown Friends on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Friends' Central also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Friends' Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gabe Moore led the charge by going 11 of 21 on his way to 29 points and seven rebounds. With that strong performance, Moore is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game. Oben Mokonchu was another key player, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 13 boards.

Friends' Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points per game. As for Germantown Friends, they dropped their record down to 7-13 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
