Volleyball Recap: Verona Takes a Loss

Verona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Galena Bears. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bears this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat on Monday.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-15.

Marley Foster paced Verona's offense, picking up five kills. Foster got some help from Olivia Freiburger and her ten assists.

Verona's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Galena, their victory bumped their record up to 15-8-3.

Verona wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Chadwick on the 27th. As for Galena, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Monett on the 27th.
