Recap: Franklin Prep Academy National Cardinals vs. South Charlotte T Thunder
The Franklin Prep Academy National Cardinals were the 72-64 winner over the South Charlotte T Thunder when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Franklin Prep Academy National was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 63-62 to South Charlotte T. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
South Charlotte T's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Luke Rullo led the charge by scoring 21 points along with five rebounds. The game was Rullo's 13th in a row with at least ten points. Aaron Hill was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with eight assists.
Franklin Prep Academy National's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for South Charlotte T, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin Prep Academy National will take on Comenius at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Comenius is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. South Charlotte T and Forsyth Home Educators will face off at 8:30 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Forsyth Home Educators focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Saturday.
