Nate George put up the most runs he's had since back in April on Thursday. He went 2-for-5 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. He was dominant the last time he took on Hammond Central back in May of 2024, so they probably should've seen this coming. George has become a key player for Hammond Morton: the team is 8-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-15 otherwise.

Looking ahead, George and Hammond Morton will challenge Lake Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Governors have some work to do to even out the 1-6 series between these two since May of 2015, but a win here would be a good start.
