Volleyball Recap: South Burlington Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Mt. Mansfield

South Burlington faced Mt. Mansfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Wolves fell 3-1 to the Cougars. The Wolves' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 23-25, 25-13, 25-23.

South Burlington's offense was headlined by Robin Goodwin and Lucy Stadtmauer, who picked up five kills apiece. They were helped by Rita Jiang and Ava Savoy, who contributed ten assists each. Stadtmauer was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

South Burlington's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Mt. Mansfield, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
