Baseball Recap: Chisholm Trail Comes Up Short

Chisholm Trail was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Timber Creek Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rangers of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Chisholm Trail saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Hernandez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. Those hits were Hernandez's first of the season.

Chisholm Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Timber Creek, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chisholm Trail will head out to challenge Northwest at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Timber Creek, they will head out on the road to face off against Granbury at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Timber Creek's pitching crew has only allowed 1.6 runs per game this season, so Granbury's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
