Volleyball Recap: Fallbrook Comes Up Short

Fallbrook came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the San Dieguito Academy Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2025.

Fallbrook may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 12 points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-12, 25-12.

Royal Olson was nothing short of spectacular for San Dieguito Academy: he had nine aces and six digs. That's the most digs Olson has posted over his last seven matchups.

Fallbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 1-2. As for San Dieguito Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Fallbrook will venture away from home to challenge Murrieta Mesa at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors are facing the Rams at the right time seeing as the Rams are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for San Dieguito Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Pacific Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Firebirds have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
