Volleyball Game Preview: Webster Bearcats vs. Sisseton Redmen

After both having extra time off, the Webster Bearcats and the Sisseton Redmen will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Webster will be strutting in after a win while Sisseton will be coming in after a defeat.

Webster had won four straight home games and Jersey Johnson did her part to make it five on Tuesday. The Bearcats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Waubay/Summit for which the team can thank Johnson, who had 29 digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 23 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Webster not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Waubay/Summit between 18 and 21 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-18, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Sisseton lost 3-0 to Great Plains Lutheran on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Redmen have suffered against the Panthers since September 24, 2019.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16, 25-16.

Webster's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Sisseton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-19.

Webster took their win against Sisseton in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Bearcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Redmen turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
