Jeannette dropped their record down to 7-8 on Friday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They lost 16-3 to the Greensburg Central Catholic Centurions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Centurions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-3 back in April.

As for Greensburg Central Catholic, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-2. Considering they have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

For Greensburg Central Catholic's part, Nick OMahoney looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. OMahoney has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jeannette will challenge Jefferson-Morgan at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rockets will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Jayhawks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Greensburg Central Catholic, they will take on Mapletown at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
