Softball Recap: Choudrant Comes Up Short

After flying high against Calvin on Friday, Choudrant came back down to earth. The Aggies took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ruston Bearcats on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Aggies in their meetings with the Bearcats: they've now lost three in a row.

Choudrant's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Ruston, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Choudrant will host Calvin at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.25 runs per game on average), something the Aggies will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Ruston, they have already played their next matchup, a 17-4 victory against Summerfield on the 7th.
