Baseball Recap: Laurel Spartans vs. Fort Cherry Rangers

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither Laurel nor Fort Cherry made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Spartans beat the Rangers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 4-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-3 on Thursday.

JJ McBride was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was RJ Kissick, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
