Football Recap: Inderkum Beats Ponderosa for Their Ninth Straight Victory + How To Watch

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Inderkum's strategy against Ponderosa on Friday. The Tigers blew past the Bruins 37-13. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 21 points or more this season.

Brody Cole continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 237 yards and two touchdowns, while also punching in one score on the ground.

Inderkum didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Ponderosa to a completion percentage of just 46.4%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from two players: Raymond Conrad and Ryan Stoval, who each logged two passes deflected. Sadly, that's becoming something of a trend for Inderkum; they were averaging 60.7%completion percentage earlier this season, but in their last three contests they've fallen to only 60.7%.

Inderkum didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Conrad, Robert Minor, and Ceyean Brown picked up one apiece. Inderkum got some further help from Xavier Branch: he picked up 0.5 sacks, forced one fumble, and made nine total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Ponderosa's loss came despite strong showings from Marshall Alvernaz and Zealand Jenks. Alvernaz gained 120 total yards and two touchdowns, while Jenks gained 137 total yards.

The win was the ninth in a row for Inderkum, bringing their record up to 9-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.6 points over those games. As for Ponderosa, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
